Megan from ANZI Coaching interviews Accredited Master Coach and ANZI Coaching Coach of The Year 2011, Caroline Cameron who shares her coaching journey. 

Caroline Cameron is a highly experienced Master Accredited coach who helps ordinary people use change to achieve extraordinary things. A self-professed ‘change junkie’; Caroline helps others overcome their fear of change to break through the barriers and turn possibilities into reality.

Seven years ago, Caroline (a former Organisational Change Management consultant) realised that weighty consulting documents (complete with impressive consultant’s jargon) don’t make change happen! She embarked on an intensive year of professional coach training to discover how to make change easier for her clients.

What she hadn’t anticipated was the significant impact this would have on her personally as she discovered easier ways to manage life’s challenges. “If only I’d known that back when I was [insert life challenge], it wouldn’t have been so hard.”

Realising that this is what she was meant to be doing, she established her Melbourne based business, Possibility to Reality in 2005 and gained her Master Coach certification with the international Behavioural Coaching Institute.

Today Caroline’s business spans leadership development, career and lifestyle change, change management and team coaching, motivational speaking, blogging and writing books.

Caroline’s book, “The Great Life Redesign – change how you work, live how you dream and make it happen today” will be available in January.

Caroline specialises in lifestyle change for burnt-out, city-slicker corporate professionals (Sea Change Coaching) which has lead to a wide variety of business opportunities including exhibiting and presenting at the Country & Regional Living Expo in Sydney, speaking and media gigs, local, interstate and international clients, 2 self-published books and a book deal with a major publisher.

When asked ‘why coaching?’ Caroline says, “It’s simple – I really love what I do and it just doesn’t feel like a ‘job’. Every day is different and it’s such an amazing privilege to effect positive change with such varied clients. As a professional coach there are no limits and I’m looking forward to exploring and pushing the boundaries.”

The other vital ingredients are a firm commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to promote quality coaching as a legitimate way to achieve success. As ANZI’s Coach of the Year for 2011, Caroline is keen to use the honour to increase awareness of the value of coaching.
